Hey Jake. I heard you say you’re out of Enumclaw which is right up The road from me. I’m always on the hunt for milling logs and would appreciate anything you could offer up.

Ratchet straps will help with barber chairs. Three wraps above the cut with a 10k strap will hold just about any tree together. I had a 45" leaner that started to split on the last bit of the back cut. The tree had so much weight on the lean, it tried to split on me with 5 inches left on the last side of the hinge, before held together and landed where I was aiming.

I don't understand why Americans use such long guidebars when felling small trees? 🤔😊 Most common length used here in sweden is 13" or 15" on 40-50cc saw and. 325-chain. 😁

Should say tickled the wire not wires if u bridged it phase to phase even for a split second she wooda made an arc and sparks lol technically tickling one phase is like a bird on a wire as long as ur not touching the neutral simultaneously or another phase

He says he paid a lot for the saw ($120) and he's expecting it to be perfect. He sharpens the chain out of the box and then has to attempt to start it like 20 times before it actually starts. Thanks but no thanks. 🤣

Y'all please, please be careful. I lost my dad when I was nine months old because he was doing this same job. Something happened with the ropes and everything and he ended up falling about 30 ft to the ground. Broke most of the bones in his body.. and he didn't make it. Always double and triple check your lines. Be safe 💙

Honestly, the macho sense of felling a tree by yourself when you dont have all the experience. Even when you have experience, why would you be that crazy to not have help?
